13th July 2009 - It is Countdown time

Well here I am it is countdown time only 4 days to go before my flight. I have purchased my train ticket into the airport and arranged overnight accommodation there to make sure that I have not worries about missing my check in.

Bags are packed, Sydney Harbour Bridge Clime Ticket has been purchased and Australian Dollars are in the pocket of my hand luggage case together with the flight confirmation and a copy of my eVisor and Passport. All that is left to do is be nervous, which I am and to ignore the consent nagging in my head as to whether I have done the right thing in going on this tower grab so far from home. I agree that it is a once in a life time trip not to be missed, and I keep telling myself that nothing will go wrong and all the necessary checks have been made, and it is just a matter a waiting.

6th July 2009

Though I have rung several Quarters and Peals the methods I can ring are limited and I am uncertain if I would be able to ring to the standards that would be expected of me, as my research on campanophile of the people listed to go on the trip is that most of them have rung Peals and Quarters of Surprise Major and more, still if nothing else I will have the opportunity to study how other handled the ropes.
My Tower captain said he knew most of them and I could learn a lot over the weeks ringing, and that it is an opportunity not to be missed
Having talked extensively at work about this trip it has been suggested that I write a blog and take a mascot with me as a representative of our company. I have never written a blog before so training will be needed and hopefully I will not be too tired at the end of the day to complete this small task, we will have to see.
